I would like to precede this by stating that this is a genuine question. Joke answers are not appreciated here as I'm trying to get an accurate gauge of awareness.
If you know nothing, then simply say as much. Even if you flip open this forum and have no further interest, giving the minimal effort to say "I know nothing about you" would help me loads.
A problem I often run into when writing for this site is not being sure just what I can "expect" people to know.
How many people here know about Soia? How about the New Soviets? Anstrake? What about what a sentient rock is?
Do people even know what Graingy is?
Seeing as the answer to the last one is so incredibly often "no" (because no, I am not Graingy), I think the answers to the prior should be a given.
Still, I'd like to get a more concrete sense so I can plan accordingly.
Now, I'm well-aware that in, for instance, the case of a short story the piece itself should contain the relevant information. But therein lies a problem:
People possibly knowing enough to know there's more, but not enough to know what it means.
When setting something up it's more important to give the necessary details for the story than explain how it relates to everything else as that just clogs up everything. Unfortunately it seems entirely possible to leave someone confused.
"Okay. There's this thing, but... how is this important?"
Whereas someone who knows absolutely nothing would not think that; each thing would be entirely self-contained and not carry quite the impression of being an incomplete part of something.
Is this a problem? Am I overthinking this?
Regardless, I could use the feedback here.
Please tell me what you know about Graingy and its associated organizations so I can adjust accordingly.
Thank you.
@Bigolfishboy take out “federal” and interpret “for” as “an unfortunate victim of” and that describes me personally rather well.
@Graingy
“I am a professional dumbass currently on the run for federal tom-foolery.”
@Boeing727200F I wish I could do that

@Graingy bro got unbanned and went for the world record for fasted ban and account wipe ever.
@Boeing727200F Some people aren't particularly bright.
@Graingy ah
@Boeing727200F Two bans in quick succession.
wait how did that GrowAGarden guy comment when he was banned around the same time as you and still is?
@WaterFlavouredSpitfires Quoting this very post
That's, like, the one wrong answer here. C'mon.
Graingy is (?)
@GrowAGarden Unless you have something useful to say please do not comment.
are you my grandma
@Boeing727200F I thank you for your honesty. I've been trying to get myself through the thing RB107 just posted, and even though it's very well written (despite not really being my preferred subject matter) it's difficult to push myself through.
Best of luck with your own endeavours. I'd be happy to offer advice.
@Graingy I do feel interested in reading your stories, heck, I'm considering even writing my own stories thanks to you (lore related to Azer, a project I'm still working on). but as I don't got the time to do so and my lazy ass won't even bother to read it (love ADHD and procrastination). you don't need to tag me.
@Boeing727200F I should preface, the ones written so far vary from 2-6.5k words. These aren't just a couple lines that can be read in 30 seconds. They take time, and as a result some commitment (relative to typical internet content), to read.
I get upvotes on written works from people who don't say a word about them. They give no indication if they actually read what I had made.
Accordingly, I'm suspicious of the response I get.
Are you interested in the tag, or the content it'll be on?
If the former, don't bother.
@Graingy sure why not?
@Boeing727200F I am planning to release several short stories in the near future, as I stated several times in my previous forum. Would you have any interest in being tagged to read these, or will you pass?
@Graingy wut
@Boeing727200F Aight. Thank you for your responses.
Would you have any interest in a tag, or will you pass?
@Graingy well they exist i guess
@Boeing727200F Fair enough (though calling it a company would be inaccurate).
Anything about the robots, or just that there exist and nothing more?
@Graingy
fuck basically nothing besides the name and it is the parent company or whatever of Graingy.
