[KE-RP] Election

72.3k B1  10 days ago

By 1960, the Empire stands as a global power. The reconstruction following the 4th BE-Spinnish War has brought both prosperity and tension — the navy dominates the seas, the army has been modernized, and Spin’s colonies are demanding greater autonomy. At home, citizens debate whether the Empire should continue expanding, consolidate its power, or turn inward to reform society.
Four men rise to compete for the presidency of the Imperial Republic — each offering a distinct vision for Spin’s destiny.

Frangusto Fiasco

Party: National Consolidation Party (NCP)
Slogan: “Strength Through Unity, Peace Through Power.”
Profile:
A veteran statesman and decorated naval officer, Fiasco has long been associated with the ruling establishment. Known for his sharp intellect and stoic demeanor, he embodies continuity and national stability.
Core Interests:
Maintaining the Empire’s global influence and naval superiority.
Expanding industrial and military infrastructure.
Limiting foreign influence within Spin’s internal affairs.
Promoting conservative social values and loyalty to the Emperor-President.
Public Image: The “Iron Dove” — a symbol of controlled power and calculated diplomacy.

Carlos Prado

Party: Social Democratic Union (SDU)
Slogan: “Progress for the People.”
Profile:
An aging reformist economist and former Minister of Commerce, Prado represents the liberal-progressive wing of Spinnish politics. He advocates for modernization, welfare expansion, and a gradual decolonization policy. Before Frangusto Fiasco’s first term, Prado was in office. He lost to Fiasco and Churro in the following elections for being largely responsible for Spinnish failure.
Core Interests:
Expanding education, healthcare, and workers’ protections.
Reducing military spending to invest in civil industry.
Strengthening ties with other global democracies and the Valencia Accords.
Allowing greater autonomy to colonial territories under Spinnish governance.
Public Image: The “Voice of the Working Citizen.”

Julio Montesa

Party: Imperial Restoration Front (IRF)
Slogan: “For Crown, Country, and Command.”
Profile:
A retired admiral and fierce traditionalist, Montesa believes Spin’s destiny lies in restoring absolute imperial strength. His platform calls for intensified militarization and the reassertion of dominance over rebellious territories.
Core Interests:
Rebuilding and expanding the Spinnish Expeditionary Fleets.
Reinforcing colonial rule through strict governance.
Centralizing power under the Imperial Presidency.
Emphasizing national pride, martial discipline, and cultural unity.
Public Image: The “Guardian of the Old Empire.”

Eduardo Céspedes

Party: Federal Progress Party (FPP)
Slogan: “A New Empire for a New Age.”
Profile:
A charismatic younger politician and former diplomat, Céspedes is the face of the modernist and internationalist movement. His campaign is driven by innovation, federalism, and technology — a direct contrast to the old guard.
Core Interests:
Federalizing the Empire into autonomous regions under a unified constitution.
Investing heavily in science, aerospace, and nuclear energy.
Strengthening global cooperation through the Valencia Accords.
Encouraging free enterprise and trade liberalization.
Public Image: The “Architect of Tomorrow.”

With Spin being a more conservative nation, Prado and Céspedes are at a slight disadvantage. But Céspedes’s high-risk high-reward strategy might be enough to win over the nation. Thus far, here is the sharing of the votes from poll data:

Fiasco/National Consolidation Party — 35%

Prado/Social Democratic Union — 12%

Montesa/Imperial Restoration Front — 23%

Céspedes/Federal Progress Party — 30%

The voting will begin on September 20, 1960.
