@dekanii Right.
@Graingy it works after touching water, but at a certain depth ( i found it to be 16 m deep ) , it will make the missile disappear
this applies to other weapons except for guns, cannons (that have a deeper depth limit) and rocket (didnt disappear even at extreme depth, i guess)

Maybe change the force for detachers to push them out, make sure the missiles have disableAircraftCollisions set to true, and PartCollisionResponse set to None in XML. Then also in XML add a delay to the ignition of the missile by putting a new tab that says ignitionDelay, and whatever number you put is how many seconds it’s delayed for, maybe do 1.5 seconds.
@dekanii yes, but I couldn’t remember in what sense. Checked after, apparently means it isn’t destroyed by water but will still disappear if too deep.

@Randomplayer I believe there's a waterproof XML modifier, though I'm not sure exactly how it works or what it can/cannot do.
like irl, or sp? irl they use pressurized ?something? to launch the missile out of the water, then once its out the boosters ignite, in sp weapons disappear when you go below a certain depth so you might want to make some sort of depth limiter
