Airbus approves the transfer of 10 custom order A320 Series Narrow Body Aircraft to Vigilant Eyes for 920 Million.

The closed doors transaction was performed over the span of 12 hours between Sept 8, and Sept 9. And the order is quite the strange move for a private military company to make, especially considering the services that Vigilant claims to provide.
Vigilant Eyes is a private military contractor formed in Massachusetts in 2007 by CEO Logan McKay. Outside from providing security services akin to a PMC like Blackwater or Metalith, Vigilant primarily boasts its Intelligence and Surveillance services, being able to deploy a drone for anyone, to virtually anywhere in the world to gather crucial intel, secure a location for a client, collect data for economic developments, or keep a Vigilant Eye on areas of interest.
"Vigilant is strategically broadening its logistics and surveillance capabilities. Recent acquisitions and operational incidents have prompted stakeholder scrutiny; to clarify, Vigilant has entered into a procurement agreement with Airbus to enhance the breadth and flexibility of our surveillance portfolio. This acquisition enables us to offer clients an expanded suite of intelligence and security solutions—ranging from pre-action intelligence collection to on-demand, real-time operational support—delivered across air and ground domains to ensure a more robust security envelope." The CEO said on the 20th.
A journalist has allegedly got a closer look into how the planes have been augmented for Vigilant. Allegedly, the aircraft have had their interiors completely stripped, save for the cockpit and essential instruments. The aircraft had been bought on factory, prior to painting, and the radars had been removed.
Insider speculation suspects the possibility that these planes will be turned into AWACS (Airborne-Warning and Control Aircraft) to watch the skies above high-value clients, however nothing certain is known currently.
