The P-59 is an event premium jet in War Thunder. It is the lowest BR jet in the game (that I know of) at 5.7.
IRL it was the US's first production jet fighter, but was deemed unsatisfactory for service.
In War Thunder, for some reason, it turns almost exactly like it was made in SimplePlanes (just smoother, of course). I very much doubt this is realistic, but it's funny nonetheless.
Dear god, does that thing turn well. I'm half convinced it's a biplane dressed up in a first-generation jet fighter costume shot up on meth for speed boost.
The slower it gets the better it turns. How is that even possible!?
@SCtheONE So still more realistic than SP.
It turns well but it BLEEDS energy it's pretty bad after like 2 turns
@Boeing727200F If it were the F-80 wouldn't have been accepted.
@ComradeSandman oh didn't catch that haha
@ComradeSandman yeah but I’m sure it was still better then the F-80
@BOSSentinel What.
@Boeing727200F My comrade in commune the P-59 is most certainly not modelled accurate in WT. The P-59 was not good.
@CaptainNoble I'm joking, but still, it flies really weird.
gaijin being gaijin again 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I doubt that
ok
and somehow the US drops the P-59 program and went with the shitbox F-80.
and the F-80 airframe somehow flew all the way up to 2017 with the Bolivian airforce (T-33).
