Hello 1452.
I would once more like to thank you for your recommendation that I succeed you as temporary CEO of Graingy while Geminus and PS-562 are off attending to business in Imos. I am grateful that you though me fitting for such a task, especially amidst the concerns surrounding 142's recent disappearance. The comparative safety of this position is much appreciated over venturing into unsecured territory to recover what may be now the broken body of a comrade. For that you have my thanks.
That being said, my initial impressions that this would be a rather boring, if moderately prestigious, endeavour have been called into question by the recent happenings within the company. While some duties, such as overseeing the continued efforts in decommissioning the Detroit plant, were anticipated, others have proven decidedly less so.
For starters, determining the culprit behind the repeated thefts of railway track from the Vancouver-Yukon transport line has proven challenging with the resources I currently have available to me. To add to that, the reluctance of the board to invest in the line's protection, considering its general disuse, is introducing a not insignificant amount of friction in the decision making process. They consider it not worth the effort of maintaining, even out of principle, seeing as in their view any artifacts remaining in the old HQ vaults could be airlifted out using more recent developments (e.g. Goliath-class M.U.M.A.P). In any case, I remain determined to see this investigation through in spite of the headaches.
Beyond the matters of that which is left rotting, a ball bearing workshop in Frankfurt has reported a fire of unsure origin. Seeing as the workshop was opened as part of an employment deal after the turn of the millennium concurrent to the closing of the Germany plant, we suspect politically motivated arson. All reports indicate safety protocols were being followed to the letter and machinery, particularly oil scrubbers on the side of the building where the fire began, was well-maintained. Seeing as Graingy has long been a controversial force in the world, no less since 2018, this could be problematic if left unchecked. I would merely request that you pass this on to Geminus for advice on what to do; this is his pet project after all.
Lastly, for now, is the conundrum that is that psychotic pebble left in charge of the company's social media presence. Grain, as he/she/they/it goes by, has become irritable as of late, far more than usual. They have made more declarations of ill intent towards the Moon in the past week than they had in the month before, to say nothing of their insistance to other personnel across departments that several important safety guidelines be disobeyed in the name of "[theatrical] performance". My working hypothesis is that being removed from the errant Archfiend-N prototype for reasons of hygiene, only to be put back in afterwards, has resulted in a repressed frustration towards their current predicament. Though Grain does not consciously realize it, they are harbouring deep resentment towards the company (and us) for our (in)action. It is because of this that I suggest petitioning to Geminus to have the aircraft recovered and Grain removed from it. Seeing as Grain is the head of a paramilitary organization which Graingy has publicly sponsored, it's in our best interest to placate them before they do something especially rash with our name on it.
Regards, with stress, MS-1004
And I am fine, regardless of what MS-1004 suspects.
