head of maintenance at wright isles transit authority toby and his tomboy coworker jesse getting increasingly annoyed of the seine refurbished cars breaking down shown above
ps: the two subway car shown above is the same car, that being number 069
if you're wondering, yes, not only was it fixed along with other c500 and c400 cars involved in the 1976 morgen street collision fixed and returned to service, but during the early 2000's WITA did a MASSIVE and expensive refurbishment to the entire metro, as shown on the first drawing however, things doesn't go smoothly
car 069 and it's fellow hopewell connor railcar industries built c500's from the early 70's (now reclassified to c550) cars, or really any old subway cars refurbished by the... eugh
french conglomerate seine
(parody in-universe version of alstom/siemens) started developing severe and i mean severe electrical gremlins and other equally severe mechanical failures, it's also EXTREMELY unreliable and prone to failure too, something which the original pre-refurbished cars didn't do, which WITA would later find out to be the fault of seine, the same company they outsourced the upgrading work to (they did an awful job incase it wasn't obvious) hence why WITA ended up going back to HOPCON to fix the half-assed job that seine has done, but to be fair it's not entirely seine's fault since the effects of the recession
(which in my universe lasted into the late 80's, early to mid 90's) is still felt, hence why seine did a poor job since they're literally on the fucking brink of collapse, that doesn't make what they do excusable, but... they had to try and stay afloat i guess, even if that meant sacrificing quality
also ain't you supposed to be asleep?
@YarisSedan oh no, carry on, I'm learning, it just happens that I'm on the other side of transportation spectrum XD, still interesting topic tho
@Monarchii anyways, sorry for spitting out paragraphs lately chii, my hyperfixation is unpredictable at times lmao
@YarisSedan hmhh
@TsPmo real :p
@YarisSedan I'm getting bored XD
@Monarchii also, incase it isn't obvious, i kinda retconned some things here and there like making the subway car in the drawings, which are infact based off of this same build, be built in the 70's instead of the 90's, and also changing some design elements here and there like making it only have a single cab instead of being dual cabbed like the original, meaning that it needs to have either a second cab car or both a trailing cabless car and another cab car at the other end, and also adding those cross section on the windows to actually make it look like old commuter/subway trains
@YarisSedan objectively funny, objectively creative XD
@Monarchii fr
and i mean hey, it doesn't hurt turning what is essentially an old joke and then expanding it to be... y'know, actually legit? xd
@YarisSedan even though it was an old joke but you've made it an actual thing, hella objectively entertaining XD
@Monarchii thank you! :D
also, my god it really has been a year since i mentioned that hopcon name again, which i kinda headcannoned to be an abbreviation of "hopewell connor" aka the guy who founded hopcon railcar industries
@YarisSedan it's fine, we have to start somewhere, good work! :3
@TsPmo why change your user to that dawg 🥀
@Monarchii that's a really good advice actually, and yeah, i should've made it interesting by making it not plain massive walls of text
@YarisSedan I would suggest start using paragraphs, but I'd agree, it's nice writing, it's just.. most people would skip if they see those blocks of text. start cutting and forming short paragraphs, especially if it's short stories
.
I'm no writer(no decent one anyway) but I think I can speak as I've read like.. a lot.. web and light novels and all, including the uhh.. the less good ones.
@Monarchii i think you forgot about the lore i've written at the bottom, im curious as to what your thoughts are on that, and yes, i wasn't lying when i said that i'm also a half decent writer :3
hot sweet draws..
@Monarchii @Graingy @LettuceRob119 sorry for tagging you guys, thought you'll be interested in this
