The Imperial Navy of Spin proudly announces the selection of Valencia Shipyard Company (VSC) as the prime contractor for the design and production of the next-generation guided missile destroyer, which will replace the legendary but aging RSS Conquistador-class.

After a rigorous 10-month competition between Madrid Defense Corporation (MDC), Guardian Aerospace Naval Division, and VSC, the Ministry of Naval Advancement has awarded the contract to VSC, citing their:

Proven shipbuilding excellence in heavy weather and blue-water capabilities
Advanced modular weapons integration design (Specifically their MRASM-15 system)
Efficient logistics and crew accommodations
Cost-effective production scalability
The new class of destroyer, tentatively designated "Vigilancia-class", will serve as the backbone of the Imperial fleet well into the 1960s. This class is expected to feature:

Next-gen radar suites with 360º phased-array coverage
MRASM-15 "Hammer" anti-ship missile launchers
Dual-purpose 127mm deck guns with automatic fire correction
Advanced Long-Range Ship Launched AA Missile capability
Helipad and hangar for one medium helicopter (GBH-20 or GBH-10)
The first keel was laid down at VSC’s newly upgraded drydock in Puerto de Sagunto in 1955, with commissioning expected by early 1957.
