[SPT #1] Fighter jet crashes during stunt

Yes, i will be starting a Simpleplanes Times news series which will happen every month (or year depending on my schedule). Basically will be stuff that i will replicate on SP or news about the site in general. If this gets too excessive you may stop getting tagged on the news posts.

On July 5th 2025, a Fighter jet was doing stunts for the Qualiton Airshow, when the Aircraft entered a hard spin. There were no registries of mechanical failure, in fact, it was actually caused by pilot error and an aerodynamic flaw on the model make. Luckily, the Aircraft crashed on a spot where there was no spectators, but the Pilot has sadly passed away. On impact, all of the Aircraft's Armament has detonated, causing severe damage to the building it crashed next and nearby parked cars. This incident led LQSR to create an Airspace rule that implies all Military Aircraft must be completely disarmed before participating in an Airshow.

"I was watching the Airshow when i saw a Plane hardly lose control, and seconds later it crashes into the Ground and emerges into a giant fireball. Everyone was shocked. Most left the event, some stayed there to record the tragedy."
- quote from local resident

A few hours after the incident, Qualiton Airport was closed for Civilian flights, only open for Military flights and Emergencies. Court has fined the manufacturer of the fighter jet $5.000.000, hence the aerodynamic flaw mentioned earlier. This led to the Fighter jet being halted.
