Hello, as many of us are aware, a horrific accident has happened in India this week. The seriousness of this tragedy is no joke nor is it something to be used to gain attention or whatever. What do I mean? Well, I can’t help but notice the issues surrounding many SP users recreating the Air India 171 airliner, which was a 787-8 that was registered VT-ANB.
The Essential Question
I honestly need to know why some users will build aircraft that were involved in a serious or deadly accident within a day or a few hours of said accident. I noticed this with the Potomac Mid Air Collision, Delta Connection 4819, Jeju Air 2216, and Azerbaijan 8243. Also the aforementioned Air India AI171.
I honestly want to know why some users are publishing aircraft and are claiming they’re to “remember” the crash. Why replicate the plane though? Why not make a memorial? I made a Jeju memorial for the victims of 2216. It isn’t in a Jeju air livery nor is it really made for flight. It’s a memorial to honor the deceased. I know I made MU5735’s aircraft, but keep in mind the accident was in 2022. I didn’t make it less than 72 hours after it. It’s so bizarre. Just slow down and wait until it’s been a long time since the accident.
@THEOKPILOT Didn't get caught, it sounds like.
@Graingy I dunno, I made that Squadron 8 memorial post and it's still up.
Just kidding!
Mods aren't active anymore. Now Dorian is Supreme.
@Graingy this is both encouraging and also threatening lmaoo
Anything's legal so long as the Mods don't catch you.
@Graingy ah I see, I actually didn’t know that was a rule. Seems I have to remove my Jeju thing.
While I agree that remaking disasters so soon after they happen is rather tasteless, the rules do explicitly forbid memorial craft.
Air crash kids: lmao ok i'll make a build about this anyway
tbf no one died in Delta Connection 4819, but i still wholeheartedly agree
