Taken from here, I decided to put more openly in a forum.
This is not proof-read, do note.
This post is primarily being made so that it may be linked to in The Library of Guy.
I initially focussed on biology, but then realized I was getting too in-depth. This may seem a bit scatterbrained as I was trying to present a more generalized picture of the species.
Enstrarchs (Raiun Eaunae) are species from the planet Anstrake. The most common and successful of the family Raiun, they are notable for their advanced technological and evolutionary state, having adopted a lifestyle and biology distinctly alien from even their nearest living relatives. They are highly intelligent and adaptive, with large brains and significant voluntary control of their bodily functions. They are commonly described as having the largest consciouses of any known Anstrake species because of the extent of this control. Their intelligence lends itself well to complex social structures and civilizations.
Enstrarchs are unique animaloids, having little resemblance to their relatives or even most recent ancestors. This is most clearly visible in comparison to their predecessor species, Raiun Munealic, which have little physical resemblance except for large mouths, sharp teeth, smooth heads, and tall stature, as well as a generally bipedal body form with two arms and two legs. In contrast, Enstrarchs have a torpedo-shaped head (instead of the domed heads of Raiun Munealic), dark grey skin on their backs, and take a hunched posture most of the time. Enstrarchs are also generally larger than their ancestors, and due to adaptations for rubble clearing are around eight times stronger. Enstarchs have two biological sexes, with females capable of asexual reproduction, and possess virtually no sexual dimorphism. Enstarchs take around 20 years to reach full maturity, after which they live an immensely long time. The only known case of an Enstrarch dying from old age was of one with a condition that increased the rate of aging several fold, and even then they lived over three centuries. It is predicted that Enstrarchs leave their physiological prime at around the age of one thousand years, however the current record is a mere 540 years. The average age of death is 150 years, but this is of course highly variable, meaning Enstrarchs do not plan out their lives far past reaching adulthood.
Enstrarchs have complex social systems often forming hierarchically-managed groups, such as large state structures. Leaders are chosen in almost every case by area of expertise and suitability to lead. Enstrarchs also form communal friend groups frequently, being the primary form of socialization for most. Many Enstrarchs will live in close conjunction with anywhere from one to six others as long-term life partners, essentially a form of close friendship. Enstrarchs, however, do not often demonstrate a need for social validation from strangers. Improved social status is typically achieved through proof of suitability as part of society, such as by performing their duties well. Those incapable of contributing rarely see much of the affection of others, as helpfulness takes precedence.
Enstrarchs are highly technologically advanced, significantly altering their environment to suit their purposes and aims. One of the core drives in life for an Enstrarch is the search for knowledge and capabilities, believed to stem from the nebulous and immensely powerful nature of their biggest threat, the planet itself. Accordingly, virtually all societies on Anstrake demonstrate some degree of industrialization and high use of trade. Technological discoveries for much of the recent past were built upon trying to replicate the legends of their atomic age ancestor’s capabilities, with this stage only recently being surpassed within the last two centuries. Enstrarchs’ primary areas of development are automation and nuclear technologies, seeing the vast majority of resources fed into development over the past hundred years. Enstrarchs have colonized every landmass on Anstrake, and have landed a handful of times on Anstrake’s largest moon, however the great density of natural debris around Anstrake makes space exploration an extremely expensive endeavour.
Anstrake is divided into approximately one hundred states constituting about one billion people. The largest of these are the two superpowers Cshrankila and Eaunsiadre, longtime rivals with a combined population of 190 million and a land area of 22 million square kilometres. Nearly all industrialized countries have socialist economies, at least in heavy industry. Cshrankila is the greatest example of this centralization, with a strong national bond based on their collectivist ideology. Most countries do not possess significant military forces, however the superpowers represent a strong departure from this trend. The majority of Anstrake’s population lives in cities built on extremely valuable stable ground.
@Graingy i mean to be fair any decent human beings with morals would know that, why did you think it's just you who thinks those things are bad, also, on second thought, yeah, it does read more like an angry tirade than anything unlike the rant you wrote, which imo is genuinely peak, like the critique on capitalism on a comment (i forgot when or where tho)
@YarisHatchback the long rant?
Honestly, not really. It reads an an angry tirade against (legitimate, in my view) grievances, but lacks the grace or eloquence needed to really stick.
@Graingy lmao
okay but seriously did cook with that quote or did i like... not cook
@YarisHatchback Do not piss in the cooking that tastes very not yummy
@THEOKPILOT damn, I didn't know i cooked despite being genuinely pissed when typing that
@THEOKPILOT That's... odd.
Can't say I've heard of the Vortigaunt or the Antlion. Don't really know what a headcrab is though I've heard the name.
@Graingy This reminds me a lot of like the Combine, and the Vortigaunt, and the Antlion and the headcrabs.
@THEOKPILOT I know what you mean by Half Life, I don't know what you're referring to about lore.
@Graingy You know, Half-Life! Made by Valve? The 1998 and 2004 games? and Arguably one of the first and most important first person open world series ever? Shaped the FPS industry too.
@THEOKPILOT ?
Also @Graingy, This is HALF-LIFE level lore here.
@YarisHatchback Just.. this sums up a lot really accurately and strongly.
@YarisHatchback
This comment shall be preserved in my bio.
@THEOKPILOT Agreed.
Except cracked-up sharks. Not fun.
@Graingy
Most things are preferable to humans. First hand experience.
@YarisHatchback What do you mean?
I certainly prefer these guys to humans.
@X99STRIKER They range from "yes" to "please stop eating my dandelions".
Is this whole thing just one big social commentary?
Sound like some goofy goobers
According to Google, PSA means "prostate-specific antigen".
Cool. I guess.
