I want to speak up

15.2k BlackGearCompany  4 months ago
Guys, i want to ask something. How to increase your confidence and telling yourself not to overthink about everything, and take everything easy, not so tense?
I've been lot of trouble with myself with it. Like, what if i do something wrong? Am i rude? What if they're mad? What are they going to think about me?
Tbh, i was a hyper-aware person, almost aware of everything surround me and often overthink about it. I know what happens to me, it just hard to convience myself that it's okay, everything going to be okay, i didn't do something wrong.
Maybe just that. It's out of the blue actually, heh. I just feeling restless, so maybe once in a while venting a bit in here, and asking that and that.
Thanks anyway for you reading this. 😁

@RepublicofKomi I read that, and yeah actually tbh, that's a long text but still i read it up and down, throughly even if i miss some point you want me to read. You can vent here, spill it out, and prolly if i had oppurtunity, i'll read it.
    .
Yeah, people always at some point go up and down, questioning eveyrthing we had done, are we good enough, not just in here, but in real life also, we do often asked, "Is it the right thing?" and many questions asked, but with no answer. But i believe in growth... i guess, because i also believe that human is not a static entity, but a dynamic entity, life being, we are not bound to one place, but we move, just like we growth. By any means not just age or physical, but our skills, mindset, way of think, knowledge you name it...
    .
Alright, i want to stop here as i now start to feel like lecturing someone... Ughh, i hate it when i felt arrogant or felt high than someone, it's riddiculous and absurd, inherently has no meaning. Because everyone grow, everyone moving, everyone has their own life. This is honesty, believe me.
    .
But, i do hope things get better, man. I also hope everything get any better on your side. I want to say sorry if i mislead the intentions of you in here, or anything disturb you, i just being honest and being honest is refreshing.
    .
Also for reminder, you can vent here btw, and i will read it, trust me, i will, try to understand.

I was going through the same thing a couple months ago back in April. I was questioning myself on how good my creations were, what people thought about me;if im rude, mean or if I should i just quit posting. Of course everyone goes through this in life and its natural. So what I did, and which in my opinion I think you should do aswell is,not really quit but take a break from posting and spend time by yourself and think about what you can do to make them better or really focus on how to make sense of what people think about you, and then from their own, it should be a lot better from their on, and then when you get to a point to where you feel like posting or you feel like how to not feel like that you can you can start posting again if you really want to, another thing I did is I asked to other people for advice like her probably doing right now, which is a good thing which everyone does you should knock down on your cell phone. Just not worry as much about everyone’s opinion on you or you can take time look at your schedule look at free time you can squeeze in and either think about about this current situation or spend time on a project in this game to make it better and you can find out new skills about how you can make your aircraft better and see what you can learn or figure out or take away like how I did. I was going through the same situation which I’ve already said, but I wanna say it again my not that good and what I did was start using blueprints for my planes and looking up tutorials on YouTube about things you can do and won’t you and you do make good aircraft and I will say that, but you can always make some better which everyone can so you can also develop techniques that you can use them not real other people know so that’s my advice for this, but you can always ask other people and you can also ask your friends and family or if your Christian or something you can always pray so that’s my advice. Hope things get better.

With how some people are, it can be hard to tell what's a joke and what's a legitimate pass.
    Apologies.

@Graingy it was more of a light hearted joke. After all, theres really no point in beefing with someone forever 🤷‍♂️, is there?

    For me…
Bro, human imagination is truly magical—so magical that it can automatically exaggerate catastrophic consequences. The more you dwell on these thoughts, the more anxious you become, because your brain is amplifying the outcomes. Ask yourself, "Is this scenario actually likely to happen in reality?" to stop your imagination from spiraling.

Of course, if your situation feels more severe, your brain will automatically magnify negative factors until they seem logically consistent. This happens because you’re too deep in it, fully convinced by these thoughts. At this point, self-reflection alone can’t correct it—you need to stop immediately. Don’t claim you "can’t stop thinking." Take a deep breath, look around, and count how many objects you see and their colors. This redirects your focus and breaks the cycle of overthinking.

Then comes the most crucial step—go do something. Your brain gets trapped in overthinking simply because it’s idle. Once you engage in an activity, you won’t have time for those chaotic thoughts. If your mind still wanders, you’re not fully immersed. Let me ask you—how to paint a flower?

If you think this is avoidance, consider this: Your real problem is overthinking and worrying without taking action. Your brain keeps inflating the problem—so act. Challenge your fears through real-world experience. No one is immune to mistakes, but what matters most is your attitude afterward. Start small. Test whether reality is as dire as your mind claims. Build your brain’s confidence—even if you slip up, it doesn’t mean it’s unforgivable.

At its core, my message is this: Everything comes from practice. Stop theorizing disasters and go live your life. You’ve got this. 💪

About people: don’t be bothered by their judgment on you, focus on yourself | how to stop/decrease overthinking: everytime your overthinking about something, always find a positive part in it.

    But still, thank you.

    @BlackGearCompany
Something like that, someone told me it doesn’t matter how you feel it matters what you do, and I haven’t really lived by that how I would want to but sometimes I like to imagine I was looking at my life from up above and wondering what I would want myself to do, like if it were a movie about my life

As far as actually increasing confidence or having less anxiety I’m still trying to figure it out

Honestly idk, the way I’ve kinda battled social anxiety is just to really want to and then just go for it, I think it helps to put away distractions such as a phone or games also
