That in the 1950s and 60s, when an atomic bomb exploded, the only drill to do was to literally lay down, and cover all exposed areas and face a wall or structure. Wth would've that done?

    @Randomplayer it isn't, because you'd have multiple peices of debris stuck in you, a slow death. Being vaporized instantly is painless or near painless

    @Randomplayer yea, but even still it showed what the Shockwave does in one of the drill videos from 1951. Doesn't make sense how that would protect you from the shockwave

    I assume they mean when you’re not directly inside the fireball, but for example 50 mile's away or so. Still kinda funny though
