Spinnish President Churro Zapato Takes Full Power

As Frangusto Fiasco left office in December of 1945, the new president, Churro Zapato, took full control of the executive power and has deemed himself dictator for an indefinite period. His political rivals have been “eliminated”, and he has negative outlooks on many other nations. In particular, the Republic of Nether-Jim and Bell-Lands.

Disagreement in Parliament

As Churro Zapato takes all the executive power, the Spinnish Parliament is worried their power will be compromised. The last of any government opposition in Spin resides in our Parliament, and heated debates take place every day regarding Churro Zapato. Zapato already has a massive following in response to his beliefs and promises to the people of Spin, but the Legislative Assembly is in tense dispute. Unfortunately for Parliament, the Spinnish Armed Forces are led by the Chief Officer, who is the president.

New Demand for Advanced Submarines

The Spinnish Navy depends heavily on imported U-boats from No-See Jerry. And as they grow older, and a the People’s Republic of Kinda introduces their own need for submarines, the Republic of Spin needs new equipment too. These new vessels will have great range, and will be a testbed for new naval technologies.

Churro Zapato Focused on Colonization

The new Spinnish dictator has now become interested in colonizing overseas territories and land. Particularly in South Ah-Merry-Ka and Ah-Frek-Ah. Although Spin does already have colonies in Ah-Frek-Ah, we have grown an understanding of the strategic, military, and economic benefits and now wish to continue colonization in the two continents.

Light Attack and Support Helicopter (LASH)

The GBH-10 Kodiak is a great helicopter, and one of the best in the entire world. However, it does not exactly fit the Spinnish Ground Forces criteria for lighter attack helicopters. The GBH-10 was designed for MEDEVAC, search & rescue, large incursions, transport, paratrooping, and aerial support. Basically the Swiss Army Knife of helicopters. But the Spinnish Ground Forces want a smaller, lighter, and more powerful helicopter for destroying enemy radar installations, trenches, and other stationary targets or convoys. Designed not to carry soldiers, but just the two pilots and a “proportional” amount of rockets and other weapons. It would look similar to the real-life “Little Bird” used by the US military.
