"Our brothers from the Kampilan Company sent us drone footage of Prov-Maywar Liberation Front fighters preparing for a raid on our Main Operations Base, the footage shows their preparations being highly coordinated, setting up mortar positions, snipers and armoring up their technicals (d-mnit), but the PMLF are not known for coordination, they usually just do raids with all of them bunched up, but more drone footage shows fighters from the east and south, this change in tactics is concerning, but nonetheless, we have to prepare for the attack...
The insurgents attacked at 3 in the noon, their mortars, thankfully out of range by just 200m, fires a salvo of 240mm shells to create foxholes for the fighters, then they charged from the north, riding behind the trunks of their bunched up group of technicals. Within the LOS (line of sigh) of the shock troopers, they immediately broke off into 3 groups, initiating a pincer attack, the northern armored vehicles' attention are drawn by the enveloping force of their side, seeing this opening, the fixing force charges full speed, but the 2 automatic mortars in the sandy ditch manages to destroy most of them in the salvo, but the remnants of the fixing force disembark the pickups, including the drivers, take cover in the foxholes made by their mortars, they are immediately suppressed by heavy gunfire and artillery strikes.
On the west, 5 s_icide trucks break off from the enveloping force to destroy the IFVs, though the combined arms with the infantry manage to destroy the rammers, with one blowing up 100m from an IFV, but the technicals open fire, pinning the infantry down, forcing the IFV to do all the work, one of our mortars join shortly.
The east however, are under heavy pressure, whileall the technicals are dealt with and the hostile numbers are few, a disabled technical (which is shortly destroyed after), fitted with a wire guided missile, manages to disable the only IFV on the west, seeing this opening, the east, 5 of the northern fighters reembark their technicals to attack the west. The infantry pleads for mortar and armored support on the east, but the mortars are reloading and the out of range northeastern IFV rushes to the defenders' aid while picking off the technicals who broke off the fixing force to support the enveloping force.
Now with less support on the north, the northern defenders struggle as PMLF fighters slowly advance.
The fighting went on for about half an hour before Friendly Maywarian Raion tanks from the L.C outpost (stationed outside the village) comes to aid the Royal Army, forcing the PMLF fighters to retreat."
