Yeah yeah, nothing much fun here.
Still, this is something that requires people to actually know about to function, so I'm putting this out there. The majority of you can probably just ignore this.
So, blocks.
To keep better track I'll be standardizing my approach to these.
1: Upon being blocked I will use my alt to confirm with the blocker.
While this is technically against rules, this site has a nasty habit of blocking two people for no reason despite neither having ever blocked the other. Until this issue is fixed I feel fully justified in doing this, as the site REALLY should not have a glitch this serious. Obviously if my alt is also blocked then it'll be pretty evident it was intentional.
This is to say, if you block my main but don't block my alt, don't be surprised if I check in to confirm it was intentional and not the site glitching again. (And on top of that, actually respond, not just instantly block the alt without saying anything. Like, c'mon, basic courtesy.)
Not retaliation, confirmation.
2: The block will be made mutual.
Since the site doesn't give you a list of people who've blocked you, only who you've yourself blocked, it will be simpler to keep track of this way. Everything contained neatly within the site itself. Accordingly, if you reverse your decision you'll need to send a proxy declaring so.
This is not meant to signify some sort of revenge or what have you, rather it's just an internal bookkeeping measure that does involve site features and therefore will have to be public.
These measures will be put into place whether this forum stays up or not, I'm just making this so that people who've blocked but later changed their mind actually know what they need to do, otherwise they would be stopped by my own block.
Again, I'd like to repeat that this is only up for transparency reasons.
Blocks don't often get retracted, but in the rare case they are, this is what you need to do.
If this is not relevant to you, literally just ignore it. Seriously, go away.
Anyways, that's that.
Ignore the blokes below.
This is strictly informative.
Also, restating what I said on the original post about the site glitch, if you're blocked by me (without having ever blocked yourself) it is definitely a site glitch, save one person I obviously will not name.
@Graingy Hm.
@TheLoadingGorilla it wasn’t many’s.
It was everywhere, kinda why it remains a part of brainrot even to this day (if greatly reduced from its height).
2020 wasn’t really my best year either…
@Graingy I don’t know among us isn’t really something I was a part of.
@TheLoadingGorilla what else would it have been in that context? Were you not around in 2020?
@Graingy Oh.
Again, I need to stop taking everything so literally...
@TheLoadingGorilla amogus
@Graingy Wait, how the heck is that sus?? Hmmm maybe I shouldn't ask...
Wow what an atrocious sentence. I think I’m too tired. I might need sleep.
@Graingy Ugh I don’t have time to filter through everything I say to make sure that someone couldn't somehow think it's a Sus reference of some kind I can’t I just can’t I don’t have the time nor the energy for that
@TheLoadingGorilla
Sus
...and now I realize that I just wasted more people's time.
sigh
The irony of the world... it's both uncannily funny and cripplingly unescapable...
Alright I need to go vent myself at the piano... or possibly at Microsoft word... Goodbye.
lol what the heck is wrong with people. I find the comments section both cruelly hilarious and startlingly disturbing. The part that’s funny is how stupid their arguments are, but the part that’s disturbing is... how stupid their arguments are. Like, they say "you're putting in too much unnecessary effort"... as they type a 6 sentence long paragraph that doesn't help anyone and is simply wasting everyone's time. Nice going. I almost feel ashamed to live in a world like this... The Internet has brought many helpful advancements, but sometimes I wonder if the cons outweigh the pros... Either way I have no power over the situation, just wanted to let you know that I don’t have any problem whatsoever with this policy. I support you (well, in this respect).
@CaptainNoble Coming from you, that's surprising.
@Graingy Nope. no hate to you
@CaptainNoble That person is, ironically, a rare case of a block on my end. I don't tolerate the presence of anti-vaxxers.
I assume you're throwing shade at me here?
@XM803ENJOYER46 looking back at these comments, damn, people do love to throw out paragraphs in desperate attempts to look smart, it's embarrassing.
And some people's comments have an absurd amount of M-dashes in them.
@XM803ENJOYER46 Yep.
So many people offended by a post not directed at them at all 😭
@Michiganstatepolicethe2nd Posted this at a time when someone made some AI slop using my logo, mixing exaggerations with complete bullshit about my forum use.
Some people do genuinely seem to hate me too.
I wasn't in a great headspace at the time, seeing as this site is one of my primary social circles. I attach great important to having an at least alright image here, so attacks on that I do not take well.
I was already considering a policy like this anyways (as you pointed out, it's reasonable), figured to post it then. I suppose it was an attempt at feeling a bit more in control of my situation timing it like that. Seemed it backfired.
Still, this is policy for blocking users only, something many seemed to ignore.
This.... seems fair enough, what is with the people below?
@Graingy noooooooooooooooooooooo-darth Vader
@Dest20345 It can't be done!
