To be honest, I don't know... (The Su-25t is already free in the game) and the f-14 does have a speed advantage... You also can't say if a Jetset is better at BVR besides the radar coverage and missile range+ effectiveness, and in a dogfight you are right, they have better manuverability and will probably win. @Wahoo12
@WWIIPlaneBuilder Yeah, Im really into the air to air combat ( although air to ground isnt bad, but there will be an SU-25T for that). Do you know if the hornets in DCS will be better than the F-14A/B? I know most of the hornets will at least be more modern and will win a (now rare) close dogfight. Are they better at BVR?
And while you say the F-14 is the better aircraft, they both do their designed roles extremely well... The f-18 as a multi role fighter (even a refuling aircraft!) while the f-14 performed as an interceptor... Although it could preform multi-role sorties!@Wahoo12
They are making both... They have the F-18 E/F which is the super hornet and the C model @Wahoo12

@WWIIPlaneBuilder I agree, and The F-18 is an awesome plane. The question is whether the Hornet or Superhornet will be made in DCS. Still, while I love F-18s, the F-14 is the better jet.
Also I believe the hornet is a tad more manuverable than the tomcat, and has a higher AoA@Wahoo12

Plus its like top gun... F-18 fans really have nothing on the F-14 except price... and who wants to be flying a plane made to be cheap (relatively)?
@WWIIPlaneBuilder But the F-14 is actually better than F-18s from the F-14's operational years and has better radar/Phoenix missile capability. Basically this thing will rule the skies and wreck any other figher in BVR combat.
Meh, f-14 in dcs... I'm waiting for the f-18!
