I really only know about Delph and Scriefers, I don't know really what other users build mainly, it's not as much of a concern to me.

Thanks for the answers guys. I'll start with what I have before exploring the xml stuff..
I don't have alot of time since I have 2 baby girls and a job and my simple plane copy is on my home pc. Wish me luck!

There is a points system in place on the site. You get points for building something and having people upvote it. The great thing with SimplePlanes is that you can actually earn points by building or publishing all sorts of stuff. As long as you're not using iOS, you should be able to XML mod, which allows you to make amazing creations that would be impossible otherwise. You can ask around to get more info about that if you're interested. The key is to build good stuff, that you really like. While points are nice, it's still just a game, so your personal enjoyment is paramount. Welcome to the community. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask around. We have lots of people who should be able to answer them.

@skubadogg oh yes. They don't want spammed profiles to upvote planes so a minimum of 40 points is required

Look at my planes, there's the up-vote section.. Each up-vote gets you 15 points. You get bronze rank at 100, silver at 1,000, gold at 5,000, platinum around 10K-15K... Basically a ranking system

And what do you get upvotes for?
Uploaded planes? Posts?

the more points you have the more rep and popularity your planes usually get. take me for example, im a bronze, and wouldn't usually get as much recognition as a silver, or gold.
