Picture taken by civillian drone showing an unmarked aircraft landed in a remote undisclosed area.
The picture showed up right after reports of locals seeing a black aircraft flying low over the relatively small town. There were also reports of strange sounds being heard the previous day. Some people say the strange sounds and the appearance of this aircraft is connected. The law enforcement came forward and said it's part of a military drill and there is nothing to be worried about. For some, the explanation put forward by the authorities was not enough.

@overlord5453 exactly, and i do think that remedy did the right choice of leaving some things largely unanswered and leaving it up for their community to theorize/speculate on things (i mean heck this "entity" residing on the lake is implied numerous times in the series to be extraterrestrial) just like real life whenever there are unsolved mysteries and whatnot, whether or not it's a mystery in a game or in real life, it doesn't matter, it's not like we as human beings know everything that this universe has to offer, far from it infact, and that's perfectly fine.
@YarisSedan for the better I say. Not everything needs to be explained. Some things are better left for the players to theorize.
@overlord5453 also, something which i nearly forgot to mention in the original comment is that remedy entertainment purposefully made the writing in the alan wake series somewhat vague detail wise, especially with the major stuff like what the hell resides under the lake, how is it able to bend time and space, why is it even there in the first place, etc. so... the writing style is definitely not for everyone, just a heads up.

@overlord5453 im afraid i might spoil the whole thing here, so... just buy the game, or if you don't feel like it, watch youtube videos, whether it's gameplay videos or theory videos discussing the lore of alan wake, also, yes, it is a pc game if you're wondering.

@overlord5453 unrelated but, believe it or not those things i mentioned is supposed to be a reference, specifically from my all time favorite horror game series alan wake (the clicker, the typewriter, the dark place, alan (full name alan wake) etc.)

@overlord5453 too bad, the dark place where he currently resides is literally in a different dimension, and plus, finding a portal to this dimension is near impossible, and the location for said portal is completely random, atleast thats what this silly new yorker alan told me from his experience living there ever since he was sucked into it in 2010, and no, i won't stop anhilating your valuable assets until you and your allies somehow got yeeted to the dark place to sit there in eternity where you and other equally crappy people belong :D
