Help

1,358 ComradeSandman  one year ago

I was visiting a Graingy airfield for work, and I got to look inside a fighter jet cockpit. Someone accidentally started the thing (curse idiot-proof engineering) and now I’m stuck in a 4th generation heavy fighter with 500 kN of thrust.

And yes, I’m still in the jar. The milk is getting everywhere. I’m so white.

    @Boeing727200F I asked, and I can't tell you. Classified.
    In summary, I probably won't be coming down for some time.

    @ComradeSandman so what should we go for?
    hack it or drag it? (or both)

    @ComradeSandman hmmmmmmm

    @Boeing727200F The flight computer isn't hooked up to the network. The radio isn't even on! I can see the indicator.
    Honestly I don't know how advanced this autopilot is. I think this is one of the newer models, but I'm not certain.

    @ComradeSandman to try and cut the lock open!

    @ComradeSandman hehehhehehehhehe
    we figured that out (also in my universe North American still somehow exists, also I run it). I honestly don't know how it works, it is completely classified, not even I know about it.
    what about the tanker idea, where we use a tanker's fuel boom to drag the aircraft to an airfield. it worked with an F-4 phantom, could work with the jet you are stuck in.
    I'm sure the autopilot will panic once the aircraft runs low of fuel and if there is a tanker nearby I'm sure that the aircraft would gladly dock with it.
    could we do both?

    @126 To do what?

    @Boeing727200F Visiting Earth. First time.
    North American doesn't even exist anymore, let alone have something capable of breaking into the flight computer. Autopilot impact avoidance would make trying to grab the aircraft virtually impossible, I'm afraid.

    @ComradeSandman I'll try my best, wish me luck 🤞

    @ComradeSandman wait so are you on earth or mars? I need to know as North American has aircraft able to hack aircraft (I didn’t even know that was possible) and fly it to the nearest airport , or we can get an American tanker to possibly drag the aircraft with its fueling boom to the nearest airport

    @Boeing727200F I should reclarify this plane is very expensive.
    Also, I do not float well. I am a rock, keep in mind. A small one, but still big enough to probably just sink.

    @ComradeSandman well, I'm sure the aircraft has a black box and transponder. so people will get to you rather quick. I'm sure somebody will end up saving you. also the currents send you mostly into the 5 massive garbage patches the oceans got. you could say something bad about, uhhhhh. ether a country or a fan base, or a youtuber, they will 100% find where you are very quick and "save" you.

    @Boeing727200F And then I'll be stuck in the ocean. I know Martian winds, I don't know North Pacific currents.

    @ComradeSandman well we got to wait for it to run out of fuel, and then it will 100% crash. that might break open the jar

    1: I was carried in the jar
    2: Same as 1
    3: I can't fly in a jar, this thing's on autopilot. Basically the throttle got cranked and the safety systems kicked in. Canopy went down, gear went up, it's now supersonic.
    Help.

    how did you get to the airfield while you were in a flooded jar?
    how did you even get in the plane?
    forget it can you fly (or crash) it at the nearest airfield, it miiight get you out of the aircraft and/or the jar.
    wait better idea. land it and eject. the force of the ejection might break the jar and get you out of the plane without major damage

    @126 Do not damage the jet I do not want to be billed for it.
    These things are like $70 Million USD. I'm pretty wealthy as far as Martian Union citizens go but I'm not that wealthy!
