@Moonlight normally, if you download a plane and then upload it with changes, it will do the successor system automatically. Uploading unlisted version does seem to break this, though. It's okay, though, you've done right thing by leaving a link in the description of your version, so there's no need to worry about it

Noman0rumeral is right, but in situations where it doesn't work, leaving a link in the description like you did is the right thing to do. Clickable links don't work in the description, but they do in comments, so you can leave one there if you want. If you use this:

It should just happen by itself, just make sure you don't upload an unlisted version
