Someone said you don't seem upset about your dogs death do you not care? and I snapped on them I said yes I'm still upset about it I think about him every day I just smile and hide my emotions then I said how would you feel if you're dog died and someone asked what you just asked me.

If it's like only 1-4 cats that you have then you will notice that one dies
If it's more than that then you may not notice if any of them die. Though it's just me, I remember 3 very young kittens died like... A year ago

though, this grey and white one may be a bit sick.
