Problems with wheel collider used in SP

3,579 Nyamomin  2 months ago

When driving a racing car in a mod map such as Spa-Francorchamps or Le Mans, there are many cases where the front or rear wheels suddenly jump out and the car flies off.
The mod is not without its issues, but the Outdated wheel collider used in SP could also be a contributing factor to this problem.
This problem can be alleviated by using suspension and significantly reducing the weight of the wheels, but this method cannot completely avoid it.
Are there any other ways to solve these problems?
Or is there no other option but to create a mod using the new wheel collider model (like wheel controller 3D)? I'm not a programmer (the only thing I can do is extract maps from Assetto Corsa), so I have no idea how to specifically create a parts mod.

If you have any information or ideas, please let me know.

I talked to him and he called you. The fault lies with me.... I'm sorry for making you come all the way here.
Solving this problem within SP is difficult. I know that too. Jundroo stopped updating SP without fixing this problem. I wanted to do something about it myself so I posted on the forum looking for information.
In any case, I'm sorry if I made you feel bad.

Do I have to give a lecture on the topic? The problem is the wheel collider, which is just two virtual points at the center and edge of the wheel. SP2 is needed to fully solve this problem.
