My Convair F-112B Delta Spear has 15 upvotes. My F-14 has 59. I just posted my Northrop F-89J Scorpion and barely anybody is paying attention to it.
However, the F-14 is a extremely popular and well-known aircraft. The a Delta Spear is fictional. The F-89 is probably not as known.
My F-14 isn't the only good build that I have. I just want more people to know about good builds. Just because I'm silver doesn't mean that I'm not good at making things
It's worth recognizing that replicas are far more popular than fictional ones, replica builders represent the overwhelming majority in this community.
@Eggplant Well, the thing is, I've just saved and saved the plane over and over until the auto credit doesn't work. But I've found a way to fix that.
its.. a hard thing to get rid of at first, it isnt really you, more so like, the whole community as a whole, or so it goes, how you interact with the userbase affects it somewhat, but also the nature of the build itself, like you've said, F-14 is a very well known stuff, F-89? much less. but if it is what you want to share and recreate, then that's the thing you have to keep in mind, so it goes also, that is also why i love obscure or less known planes, so it goes atleast.. anyway yeah, keep your head up, you're damn good at what you're doing ( ^▽^ )
@TheAviator77 that's great, but I'm just saying that when 95% of the build is someone else's you should make it a successor post
@Speedhunter I have never been platinum, this is my first account.
@TheAviator77 yeah, Im noticing that some good builds go under the radar at times
@Eggplant No, they're not missiles, they're AIR-2A Genie unguided nuclear rockets. I added credit in the description, and I WILL focus ultra-hard on my builds, because I want them to be good.
@Speedhunter Are you talking to me?
Ah, I kinda noticed the same thing, the Pea Vixen felt kinda more popular than the 10K special and actually feels like it would stay on the front page longer...

Also you really are a cool builder .... Were you platinum before?
@Mousewithamachinegun123 Literally takeoff thrust.
Like, actually.
Maybe we should strap rockets to our posts?
No disrespect but it looks like you just took his f-89 build without making it a successor, added two missiles, and ended up with less parts than the original. Also to second Shiny, don't be too focused on attention to your builds, as they only yield useless internet points (:
I don't know what you're really trying to convey here so I'm going to give you three answers that you can pick from.
If you're looking for a sense of validity or accomplishment from upvotes and attention, you're better off just doing this to improve skill and get better and better when it comes to making things. Going for points, fame, and credit in this community will get you absolutely nowhere.
It doesn't matter what you build as long as it functions, does good, and people like it. Time will only tell whether or not it'll kick off great. I'd recommend posting a build before or during the weekends where more people are up on their devices and are here in the site. It can be a fucking meme for god knows what and someone will end up liking it and it'll snowball until alot of people like it too. If it doesn't, why care?
Preferences vary from person to person. Someone can like object A but another wouldn't. Why do you think there are dedicated tank builders in the community? One reason can be they don't know how to build flying vehicles, another is that they probably just don't like them. Whatever the case, this is really not something too much to think about.
@TheAviator77
Ugh. That’s annoying.
@Mousewithamachinegun123 I have some sort of retained image on my Kindle, so I'm not gonna be able to be on SP until it's fixed.
Upvotes and spotlights right at the beginning make a HUGE difference. I have made trash builds that get more upvotes than my ones I put tons of work into, just cause a couple of upvotes right at the beginning made the airplane “hot”
Also, making a teaser, so you can tag people from that teaser, makes a world of difference too. And the time of day you post.
