After the failure of the Earthworm B-1 BAC immediately got to designing another plane in the now named ''worm'' series of planes. This would result in the B-1B just a upgraded variant of the B-1.

And more importantly the BAC B-2 ''Nuclear Worm'' with a capacity of 5 small nuclear bombs, 4 jet engines, for BAC a new style of landing gear, all built off of the original fuselage with some updates. Such as a reinforced fuselage, automatic guns, removing the need for crew in dangerous or small spaces. and pressurization.
