    I name them basically what they are. Although, sometimes I name them really funny stuff, and then find them months later, after I forgot about them, and it’s really funny.

    Click on a part, and drag all the parts that you want to make into a sub assembly into the top left corner of the screen, onto the blue box, that says “create sub assembly”
    Then type in a name for the sub assembly.
