Episode 1: So it begins…

The sound of the wind whooshes through the air, the leaves on the the ground create noises as they’re being blown by the wind, the birds are still singing. Everything is just like how it is usually, but… the atmosphere feels abnormally heavy. Looking to the back of the Hakurei shrine, Reimu can be seen sitting and drinking tea, she doesn’t look good. Take a closer look at her, it’s clear that she is lost in deep thoughts based on her expression. (Where and when did I see that number, from what Masayoshi said, it could be in my lost memories, if so how can I uncover it?… And who would be mentioned in his sentence, it was cut off so abruptly before he talked about other things…) Reimu thinks. But as she’s still lost in her thoughts… *BOOM, a super loud explosion following by shattering noises, it comes from the South of Gensokyo. She is jumped by the loud noise, she quickly runs to get a clearer view of what just happened, and she sees something that she has never thought she would see in her life, the South side of Gensokyo’s dorm has been completely destroyed, probably by an energy weapon. She takes a closer look and she sees a lot of black dots on the sky, those are aircrafts, she has never seen that many aircrafts in her life, there’re roughly around 100 planes from fighters to bombers, the enemy air force consists of: T-4, F-1, F-2, F-3, F-4J, F-15J, F-14J, F-18J, F-15 S/MTD, F-15JX and B-52J. But not just the sky is covered with enemies, Reimu looks downward a little and she sees that the sea is also the same, there’s a massive naval fleet that has around 50 vessels from small boats to massive aircraft carriers. The fleet consists of: JN Zuikaku, supercarrier built on the base of the Ford-class carrier, the flagship of the fleet; JN Akagi, a double decker straight deck supercarrier; multiple frigates, destroyers and missile boats; one of them carries the energy weapon which look like it has destroyed itself with that single shot. Reimu is paralyzed by what she sees, but the phone in her shrine breaks her out. She runs into the shrine to pick up the phone, Masayoshi’s voice can be heard on the other side: “Reimu, don’t worry, stay at your shrine okay? We can take care of this.” and he hangs up. Going all the way up to Space World, the two remote controlled satellites are finally in action. The SWP-01 Gamma Ray starts charging its Gamma Cannon using the solar panels, a bright blue light can be seen lighting up inside the satellite. The SWP-02 uses missiles so nothing is changed. Back to the Gamma Ray, the blue light inside keeps getting brighter and brighter and eventually… “Fire!”, inside the control room, the commander of Shanghai Alice Aircraft Company orders the one who’s controlling the Gamma Ray to shoot. A burning and blinding white blue ray strikes towards Gensokyo. The ray hits the sea and it is so hot that it starts vaporizing the sea water. The controller directs the cannon towards the enemy fleet, the ray passes by the front row consists of small missile boats and a few frigates. The moment the ray passes through them, all of the ships instantly get melted in half, the entire front row ships only have their lower half remain, the entire top of the ships are now red hot melted metal. “What the- What the fuck was that?! What the hell just happened?! All ships, spread out!” said the admiral aboard the JN Zuikaku. But that only takes care of the navy, the ray has no effect on the air force, all the planes can easily dodge the gamma ray. For the birds, the SWP-02 Starfall can takes care of them. The SAAC’s commander orders the SWP-02’s controller to launch 8 “Falling Star” nuclear missiles. The missiles are launched out of the “arms” by conveyor belts, after there’re out of the arms, their engine ignites and they fly straight towards Gensokyo, at the enemy’s air fleet. All 8 missiles nearly wipe out the entire air fleet, only a few planes remain. After all the missiles exploded, the gamma ray gets smaller and smaller and eventually disappears, it has used all of its energy. Seeing half of everything he started with is gone, the Japanese admiral orders everyone to retreat, while turning away, a few ships launch some missiles towards Gensokyo, luckily, all of them are shot down by anti-air laser turrets. 2 more Falling Star missiles are launch with 1km proximity detonate range set as warning shots, the proximity range is so far that it doesn’t cause any damage to the enemies, doing so shows them how powerful Gensokyo has became and forces them to fully retreat. The first wave attack ends with victory on Gensokyo’s side, the attack lasted for only 15 minutes.

After the attack, everything goes back to almost normal. Reimu, Marisa, Sanae, Sakuya and Youmu are called to SAAC factory. Youmu comes first and she doesn’t use the runway to land, instead she flies towards everyone and scares them for a moment. However, many people forget that Youmu is a half phantom girl so her plane is actually her phantom part. When she’s near the ground, the plane designates into particles and the particles reform her phantom half. Sakuya comes after, then Sanae and finally, Reimu and Marisa come together, the sheer size of Marisa’s plane completely dwarf Reimu’s. “Alright, I call you all here is for an important reason, from now on, you 5 will form the Gensokyo’s Guardians squadron, you 5 will be our primary power as you all are the most agile and skillful fighter pilots here.” says Masayoshi. The 5 then are guided to the armory room where they can see what they will be using for future attacks. After viewing, Reimu is held back a little bit by Yukari, when there’re only these two left, Yukari gives Reimu a key, she says: “This key will open the door of a small granary near your shrine, you will need to find it, it isn’t in plain view. Inside, there will be something that may answer some of your questions.”, she puts the key in Reimu’s hand and walks away. Reimu returns home still with full of questions in mind…

Somewhere in Russia…

“Yes? Snow Demon here.”
“Hmm? Go ahead, what is it?”
“What?! Gensokyo is attacked again? Those guys just never know when to quit!”
“Of course I will come, I can’t let my daughter’s house be invaded like that!”
“Alright, thanks for the info, I will prepare for this.”
