Prologue (At the end of Hidden Star in Four Seasons):
The sound of Reimu’s broom continues to make everything look peaceful, the sunlight shines on the red miko’s MiG-41 (made before UFO), everything is just like how it is everyday. “Ring ring”, the sound of the phone inside of the shrine interrupted the atmosphere, Reimu comes in to answer the phone. “Reimu! You need to airborne fast, there’s an intruder here right now!” says Yukari on the other side. Reimu quickly changes her outfit to flightsuit, hops on her plane and takes off. The intruder is a strange F-16 with carnards, thrust vectoring nozzle with digital camouflage painted in black and gray, a scary appearance. Reimu spots the intruder, she flies closer and closer, the missile is locked onto the unknown craft, but for some reason, she slows down, the lock is still on but she doesn’t fire. Yukari at the factory quickly realizes that something is wrong and tries to open her gap portal, but it is too late, a Warp portal opens and the unidentified fighter escapes. Reimu is called to land at the SAAC factory afterwards. After landing, Yukari is already waiting for her and a group of young technicians run up to Reimu’s plane, to help Reimu getting out of her plane. When she opens her helmet and mask, everyone is surprised, she is in shock and confusion. When one of the technicians asks her, she says “037564… where did I see it…?” in a very quiet voice. Those technicians are even younger than Reimu (Rei is 25 in this story) so none of them understand what she says. Yukari however, knows exactly where that number is from, so she takes Reimu to the factory’s office. Yukari knocks on the aluminum office door, a deep and old voice replies on the other side: “Come in”. Open the door and Reimu sees an old man she has not seen for a long time, a man around 70 can be seen sitting in his chair, working on some documents. His name is Fujiwara Masayoshi (lit means Justice), he is the founder of SAAC, Reimu’s caretaker and Gensokyo’s protector. Masayoshi asks: “Is something wrong? Why you look so confused?”, Reimu is still unable to answer so Yukari takes over: “She just saw her life’s enemy, leader of the 25th squadron, Japanese air force’s unit 037564, the Shinigami, he got away”. Masayoshi’s expression turns dark, he takes off his glasses, stands up and goes to the drawers, opens one of them and takes two blueprints out. He then calls two engineers to his office, when they arrive, he hands the blueprints to them. Reimu doesn’t know what it is and so is Yukari, they’re secret stuffs. When the engineers arrive at their work room, they open the papers and reveal the things inside for other workers. The two blueprints surprise everyone in the room, they’ve never thought of something like those, the two blueprints turn out to be two space weapon platforms. SWP-01, a gamma ray shooting satellite and SWP-02, a nuclear sky strike missile satellite. He is fully aware that this day would come. Back to the office, Masayoshi asks Reimu: “Do you remember anything about your childhood?”, “No, I don’t.” she replied, Masayoshi continues: “Poor girl, you have such a tragic childhood, but you don’t remember anything is understandable, you was so young when it all happened…”, Reimu curiously looks at him, he continues: “When you was two years-old, a war happened on this land, many people sacrificed themselves to hold back the enemy force, including… we were lucky that we sealed this world off just in time. I know everything, but I don’t want to tell you all of it because it will cause stress and shock to you.”, Reimu is surprised by his words, he turns at Reimu, takes her hands “A war is going to happen again and I don’t want you to be distracted by anything, if anything happens, don’t be anxious, keep calm and try to fight okay? They’re like you opponents over the years, just there’s a lot of them.”, upon hearing this, Reimu is a bit anxious, but with Masayoshi’s words, she’s able to calm down a bit. Even though never faces a real war, she was taught that it is a horrible thing no one want to be a part of. “O-Okay…” Reimu replies, “Okay, you return to your shrine and rest okay? We’re going to have a lot of things to do.” says Yukari.
A week later, the two rockets carrying the two weaponized satellites are completed and are ready to launch. It is exactly 12 o’clock when the entire Gensokyo is announced of the launch. At 12:15 everyone gather on the streets to spectate the two rockets launch. After another 15 minutes of checking and preparation, the final countdown begins. “10, 9, 8, 7,… 3, 2, 1, liftoff!”. The rumbling sound of the rockets can be heard even at the beaches of Gensokyo (Gensokyo is a circular island). After 2 and half a minute, the boosters of the rockets separate off, the main booster of the rockets continues for 1 and half a minute before running out of fuel. Afterwards the booster and the nose covers of the rockets separate, revealing the satellites which look like metal cones at that state. With the massive momentum, they continue to fly to the Gensokyo’s dorm ceiling, where they enter the space portal leading them into the Space World. Up there, they are completely hidden. In Space World, the two satellites stop and turn around to face Gensokyo, then they start transforming from cone-shaped to satellite form. The SWP-01 opens its solar panels, some parts move away from the nose, revealing the massive Gamma Cannon. The SWP-02 also transforms at the same time, it opens up its “arms”, rotating tubes that store 20 nuclear “Falling Star” missiles. After the two successfully launched, the entire Gensokyo is announced that a war will happen soon and everyone should be ready for it. What’s left is just waiting for whatever to come…
