I am playing on the Edu Version. It was installed late last year at school. I have SimplePlanes at home and it lets me grab joysticks. On the Edu version I can't grab joysticks! I tried to use the Gator 2's machine guns and i also tried a lot of other things and i found:
Buttons - yes, i work!
Switches - Yippee you can flick me!
Levers - Don't touch me. I'm a grump
Joystick - silent statue noises
Can anyone give me some advice on how to fix this? I'm happy to install a mod by the way.

Not sure if its possible to fix this. Very cool that your school has the EDU version though
