I’m gonna keep this suggestion simple not complex.

Does anyone wish we had a rubber fuselage or just something that can flex without the need of rotators, like if it was a new piece all in its self. Now I love rotators, use them normally, but a bendy beam or fuselage could come in handy.

For example, I’m using either vertical stabilizers or horizontal stabilizers to use as rotors since they are so lightweight. Only flaw is you know how a helicopter’s rotors droop when not flying?

That’s what would look cool, if I use rotators and set vtol engine at high speeds, all simply because I don’t like the helicopter rotors in-game, they will blow up, if there is a way to stop them from blowing up while putting the Engine to spin the blades at high speeds let me know.

I do think it’s doable considering we have springs which go up and down. And if it’s not doable, then what is in this game lol.

I mean control base can act as a spring both for position and rotation, and with some tweaking you can make it bend just as much as you need.

@11qazxc you mean use overload or the wings editing options?

If so what shall I put in to make the tips of the wings bend, that’s all I need, trust me I’ve tried making fuselage wings and rotors to bend, it just adds more parts.

You can use control bases to make specific parts bend in specific places, and i bet actual soft-body part will lag five times more than entire build without it.

@TheFlightGuySP AFAIK bending wings and rotators is a bug of game engine, not feature of a game.

@TheFlightGuySP indeed it would, now I’m not a mod maker, if I were I would’ve been did it long ago. There would definitely be some form a lag, but regardless, a lot of things have lag. Probably be some lag on phones, okay maybe a tiny bit of lag on strong iPads, but you get the point.

Flexible fuselages would make a neat mod (though I can see why that would be a lag nightmare in certain cases).

One thing I will say about wingflex is that it needs a rework. The way the joints translate instead of just rotating like an actual joint tends to make the wings/rotors look atrocious, leading to having to settle with Wing-2 wings (which is fine, but requires extra work to get ideal flex).
