oh well thats a lot of questions,but i'll happyly answer them!
1) wars in 1922 between two of the five countries in my universe(normal earth but with exception of 5 islands in the middle of the atlantic) and 1940 between two contries too, those afected the economy of the 3 countries involved two losing in 1922 (winner actually lost economy...things after the war) and there is so so much more...
2) it's normal earth,normal things from the 1900-1960 (time period of my universe,wich is a unfinished book)
3) normal hidrogen, the only country of the five had airships built till the 50's where most airships stoped exisisting in the 40's in the real world
4) some countries are more advanced,some not as much, the least is very unadvanced with tecnology of the 20's in the 50's, as for the most advanced it was close to german level engineering
5)yes, only in 1960 after the 1940 war,in wich the country lost they were forced to stop advancements in the military,only in the 60 they were able to go back to advancing as a peace treaty was signed
6) in the 1990 till today... yes,but we are talking about the 1900 to 50's so nah...
7) not suicidal,but the least advanced and the most advanced nations are pretty agressive, the advanced is colonialist, the less advanced is militarist and has a dictatorship like military,even if its not actualy on one.
