Make sure the part you want to be lengthened is not connected to anything else, make it a subassembly, profit.

lmfao i rember saving fuselages with "E" "rwno" "shit" as its name just to copypaste stuff
Take the part of the fuselage of the aircraft that should be lengthened. Make sure there is no cockpit attached to it (it should be the gray color). And drag it to top left corner. Its called something like pre assembly, forgot the name
