I think you mean a glider attached to a plane, not vise versa.
try make as much lift from the wings as possible through size and dihedrals. if not put a small propeller on it maybe? it can also help if you add that glider by itslef to sub assembelies and try it as its own plane first instead of having it attached to the plane so you can have a more accurate reading of Com/CoL and drag.
i recently made a smiliar plane except mine is more of a space shuttle than a glider. take any ideas from it if you want.
