Ultralight Midge I New Cockpit for VR

17.5k Thorne  2.6 years ago

Howdy

I’m putting together a new realistic cockpit for my Midge I helicopter. The rpm gauge works exactly like it would in a real helicopter (needles split), it has a clutch, mixture control, battery control (probably won’t do much since it can’t shut off the instruments), a key with a keychain, a more accurate throttle governor system, and it’s all kitted out with IFR instruments albeit currently without a GPS which may or may not be in the final product.

From here the next thing to include will be warning lights.

Would love to hear some thoughts, to fly the original helicopter click here.

Definitely an option, no plans at the moment though, I might do it for fun sometime @STENDEC

@Thorne What about the tilt-rotor midge idea?

I might do one for the autogyro as well if I end up doing some autogyro training this winter @STENDEC

@Thorne I wonder if you could make a tilt-rotor version of the Midge chopper.

@Thorne will you also apply this new cockpit style to the AutoMidge, as well?

If anyone would like to test it out in VR it would be appreciated, I will tag you in an unlisted upload!
