Welcome to the Krakabloan Democrat, the Supreme Minister's state owned newspaper.

Earlier this morning, a passenger flight crashed near the city of Tauro'a, in Province of New Keewatin, northeastern Krakabloa. Interisland Airlink flight 4L282 took off from Whiteshell Airport for it's second leg of the Wright Town-Tauro'a-Yeager route and flew in low visibility and large rain clouds left by a developing typhoon, which is now named Jolina, which is also making landfall in the neighboring Philippines, with lack of visual reference. It flew on zigzag on slightly low altitude and crashed at 7:40am. The flight is operated by a De Havilland Q-400 owned by AeroKrakXpress, under a marketing agreement with Interisland Airlink, a smaller airline based in Wright Town. The aircraft is 8 years old and it was delivered new to AeroKrak in 2013. There are 63 passengers and 4 crew. 27 survivors were found by the first responders while those who perished are yet to be recovered. The tail number of the accident aircraft is KR-F23915.

According to ATC staff at the airport, they noticed the flight on the radar flying at 300ft at 230 knots. The controllers tried to get 4L282 to a higher altitude, but the aircraft disappeared suddenly from the radar. The controllers contacted the flight several times, but to no response. Then the ATC called the Krakabloan Air Defence's 567th Search and Rescue Division that the flight is nowhere to be found.
An hour earlier, AeroKrak and Interisland Airlink released a bulletin stating that early investigation operations and body recovery with the Krakabloan Democratic Police Force, Central Federal Investigation Bureau and the National Aviation Council are now underway. A recovery for the FDR and CVR of the plane is now underway to determine the cause and investigate the final moments of the flight.
