It you shoot a shell or a cannon ball form the cannon and it stop right at the the muzzle...the fire weapons button will not turn yellow but will stay grey like it is been delayed or finished.

Like showed in this pic if you look at the left bottom you see it the weapons button.....it was supposed to turn yellow for the other shot and it didn't
