So i used to own this game on my pc.. it worked fine.. now it runs and all i get is a black screen.. i just bought the new update (purchasing game fresh a second time) and still game appears to run but all i see is a black screen.. i have tried several diff compatabilities.. i have windows8.. any ideas? it wworks on my phone.. but i cant trust anything built on it is any good

do you have Steam? Maybe it will work better when you get it on Steam next week.
@AndrewGarrison im not going to worry about it .. i did that and it still happens ... it seems when i dowwnload from internet it causes issues.. other wise launches and displays just fine
Hmmm, interesting. I wonder if your user account doesn't have permission to modify that folder. Try right clicking the SimplePlanes.exe in C:\Program Files (x86)\Jundroo\SimplePlanes and selecting Run As Administrator.

@AndrewGarrison IT WORKED!! :) the file was just labeled "Settings"... but i noticed it was an XML file hovering pointer over it...and deleted it any way. thanks a lot :)
Try deleting your Settings.xml file. You can find it here (make sure to replace YourUserName):
