Looking Back 1.5 Years: My Most Important Aircraft

23.7k BagelPlane  3.7 years ago

Over the course of my 1.5 years here, I've built quite a few aircraft. So here I've decided to share a few with you all. They're mostly disasters.

50's Fighter Jet
One of my first combat jet aircraft, the 50's Fighter Jet was based on the North American F-86 Sabre. It is a good-sized aircraft with room for a wide assortment of weapons. It had shredded many tutorial planes with its very over-powered 500 rounds per minute miniguns.

Hellcat Mk. I
An early propeller plane of mine, this aircraft completely failed at air-to-air combat. It barely flies.

The Chunky Jet
Another interceptor plane, the Chunky Jet was my first "modern" designed jet. It was built around heavily XML edited guns, like other of my early aircraft. It is a large aircraft, following my idea of "Bigger plane, more guns". RIP tutorial plane.

Stealth Fighter
The Stealth Fighter was an early attempt at an air superiority fighter. It is a stable airframe but lacks agility. The Stealth Fighter is armed with several guns, as well as inferno air to ground missiles.

Tankbuster
The Tankbuster was an attempt to field a dedicated air-to-ground. It was armed with a laser cannon to take out ground targets. The Tankbuster was my first plane to have an ejector seat.

Peacemaker
The Peacemaker is a high-performance air superiority fighter. It emphasizes speed and agility to out-do its opponents. It also is equipped with night vision (night vision only works well on mobile, medium graphics)

X-37 Stealth Jet
The X-37 Stealth Jet is built around the Boeing X-32 design. It performs well but is only agile at high speeds. Its light load of weapons are stored in an internal weapons bay.

Air Superiority Fighter
The Air Superiority Fighter was designed to dominate the skies, but pitch problems caused it to not be further developed. It makes a good gun target due to the quick variation in flight.

Stealth Fighter Mk. IV
My current air fighter, the Stealth Fighter Mk. IV boasts a heavy weapons load and robust performance. It can reach Mach 1.6 at sea level, where it performs best. It is soon to be replaced by the [Redacted].

Quite fun to see how build design and skills change over time. Those are my most important combat planes I've build over these 1.5 years. Each is relatively unique and was fun to use during its time. Happy flying!
