How do I disable a shock from VTOL control?

1,113 MiladicPlanes  3.8 years ago

I just applied shocks to my plane's landing gear. However, when I moved the VTOL stick, the shock compresses and stretches. Is there a way to disable this?

EDIT: I figured out the issue now. It had nothing to do with shocks. This is more on hinge rotators. Sorry for the inconvenience!

@MiladicPlanes I just reread your post and the shock should not be on vtol. I'm using a hinge rotator for landing gear and fuselage blocks and of course tires. It might be that it has to much stress on the shock how heavy is you craft? Try stiffening the suspension

@WrongFlyer I can tell the difference between a shock and a piston.

I think you might be using a piston by mistake

@Mastermind1941 Just to inform you, the shocks are used as suspension for the landing gear to make it something like the Gulfstream V.

@MiladicPlanes if you have it on vtol change it to this exactly ( LandingGear) for the input in the xml. If you do that then you can hit the LandingGear button then the gear will come up. You have to have the capital L and G for it to work

@MiladicPlanes do you have LandingGear as the input or vtol?

@Mastermind1941 I only disabled it from aircraft collisions. Nothing else.

I have never heard this happening before. Did you change xml inputs?
