Help with smoke trails mod (and other bits)

2,811 JakeSnakeMate  4.0 years ago

I am thinking about making a 4-8-8-4 steam locomotive, and was wondering if there was a way to change the smoke trails mod color from orange to greyish black? I was also wondering if there was a way for me to make rotators rotate faster when the speed of the vehicle speeds up? Any advice will be much appreciated. (For those wondering, I am simply taking a break from working on the truck, expect more progress..... eventually.)

@Type2volkswagen i may be able to do something by setting the input to yours as trim and changing around some other numbers

@JakeSnakeMate The yellow part in the build I linked does speed up and slow down with throttle input. It won't match the range of a wheel though, I'm not sure if that is possible.

I figured out that I need to be able to read where the aircraft was a set amount of time ago, and how much it has moved in order to set the speed that way, so that i can have positive and negative inputs

@Type2volkswagen Thanks, but I was wondering if there was a way to make it to where it speeds up with my airspeed, but the information you gave me is still very useful!

1st Question, the smoke color on the mod is set by your choice of color for Trim1.
    2nd Question,
    smooth(TimeTime,10clamp01(Throttle))
copy and paste into the input field of a rotator. also need to set the rotation to 180° and speed to 150% AND Min and Max to 0 /0.3

or you can copy the yellow bit from this

    throttle rotator
