Rotor Droop

I’ve noticed that in an autorotation the blades just keep spinning, so much so that I lift up into a hover and take off without any engine power. In a real helicopter you only have a one or two seconds to get the collective down before it’s too late and the rpm drops below the point of no return; could an XML value be added? I think that it should be an XML value because a lot of the current auto gyro designs would be ruined if the rotor dynamic suddenly changed without the option.

Governor

Another thing I’ve noticed is that when you enable a governor, the blades won’t turn until you get to the set percentage; in real life for example, the governor in a Robinson helicopter would take control at 80% rpm and you would have control over any setting below that (for startup, idling, and shutting down). It’s a minor thing but might be something to consider for accuracy.

Tail Rotor

Another thing in that in autorotations my tailrotor stops spinning. it would be nice to be able to link tail rotors to blades like you can with engines and wheels, the tailrotor in a helicopter is linked at a 6-1 rpm ratio to the main rotor and doesn’t spin independently from the main rotor. If implemented I would also recommend that once a tail rotor is linked to a main rotor, it’s horsepower goes to 0 and becomes dependent on the main rotor.
