Help with engines, please!

1,911 Tribaldragon1  8.5 years ago

I was experimenting with some thrust vectoring recently, I accomplished this by having two of the large turbojet engines on my plane, attached to rotators set to pitch. Only problem is I have a huge amount of inlets on my plane, and keep getting the message to add more. Any tips?

@yeolde1rishman the turbojets are the largest.

@Tribaldragon1 Rotators act like disconnectors on an aircraft(and as far as I'm aware, this is also the case for detachers and pylons). Engines attached to them will never receive air from the main aircraft, as the engine on the end of the rotator counts as a separate body, not getting air routed from the main body. Fortunately, fuel will route, so you don't need to worry about that. You will need to put inlets on the jet engine itself to get it to start working.

the game registers the engines a disconnected to the inlets. put inlets directly on the engines
