After about 2 and a half months of useless attempts, reading books, and doing research, i came up with an electromagnetic beam cannon, and yes, the beam is a solid beam.

However the beam is invisible, since a beam is light, and the projectile therefore had to more really fast.

Also, i guess you can say that i made an overcharged rail gun. It is not a rail gun. It only uses magnets to push the projectile stream into the firing chamber.

So here is how it works. The chamber fires projectiles meshed together by the fine tuning option. Along the lining of the barrels are exactly 256 wing guns. The wing guns have been XML modded by (someone i will not mention because they did not want to be mentioned). The XML makes them shoot at exactly the right time to detonate one of the 7 over-layers of a projectile. Then kinetic energy, some sort of code, and practically the hand of god detonates the other ones mid air.

NOTE: the magnet is XML too. its attraction field is a straight cylinder. there is a magazine where the projectiles fall into the chamber. I XML'd this one myself. THERFORE THIS WEAPON WILL NOT WORK UPSIDE DOWN. *GUARANTEED*

This is why there is a "beam". You see, explosions only do damage when it is visible (for some reason). The explosion will move with the part being destroyed. so there is an invisible "oval" that is the explosion cloud.

After all projectiles are detonated in succession (and after you place many ranging boats and flares in the sky AND AN ORBITAL CAMERA), the beam are from 5 to 7 miles long.

The weapon is huge anyways, and consumes an astonishing 54 fuselages a second. So unless someone can make this more efficient and less leggy (even for for PC players), this must remain at bay. Oh and here are some final stats for you.

Total Weight: 109,206 Lbs
Individual projectile weight: 500 Lbs
Meshed projectile weight: 3,500 Lbs
Length (Feet): Estimated 300+-
