I think it would make perfect sense for there to be a sequel, with big improvements to certain problem areas SP has. They'll need to keep the money flowing to keep the game going, and that'll probably be the way they have to do it.

By the ways things are going I would have thought there would be another game and we will have to re-buy it but I am completely fine with it as otherwise they wouldn't have funding to continue the current game. Also, perhaps they couldn't update the current game because of some changes that would affect how everyone's planes would fly (game engine changes)
