There can be several things:
a) The Asset version of SimplePlanes is not suitable for Unity 2018. Make sure you delete the SimplePlanes asset from your project. After loading the SimplePlanes mod tools asset you can find it in the path "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ SimplePlanes \ ModTools"
b) If this does not work, then it may be because another asset that is causing that error has been loaded. For example, the Terrain Toolkit 2017 fails me. In your case it may be another asset that you have obtained from the Unity asset store. Not all assets are compatible with SimplePlanes
c) If it still does not work, eliminate everything, except the terrains, and recreate the "Simple Planes Map" and within its hierarchy, the terrain and the starting position of the player. Make sure that the player's starting position is at a sufficient height and does not start at sea or on the ground, at least in the first tests.
If after all it does not work, I could not tell you, I would have to see the assets you are using and see more screens to find out what happens ...

To a certain extent, this map gives you almost everything you ask for ... heliports, airport, 2 aircraft carriers, 2 destroyers, many tanks and convoys in motion, mountain, city, capacity to disembark ... But I understand, what do you want, a more directed mission. I think I can do it. However, the introduction of other models of ships, tanks, planes ... is limited to a large extent by the tools we have. If I add a model of a battleship in great detail, the FPS will go down a lot and you will not be able to play well. Therefore, I use the land, sea and air units that SimplePlanes Mod Tools provides me. I understand that it would be necessary to develop some application to convert our models of Simpleplanes to include them in the Unity scenarios, without affecting negatively the performance of the game. In any case, I consider your approach. ;-)

@Ryn176 Unity has an option to create the Mod for PC and Android. In PC it works but for Android it does not ... I do not know if it is due to the Unity version.

@brians1209 It does not exceed 8G, believe me I have tried it. However, if you add a Gyroscope that boosts the pitch, then you force the plane to have more force G. The proof is in the MIK International, which you can download and try.
@brians1209 about "maxHeadingAngleAdjustmentRate" and "maxVelocityAngleAdjustmentRate" I do not recommend changing it. Note that this alters the maneuverability of the missile. For example, the "Inferno" missile has the approximate maneuverability of an AGM 65 Maverick. Knowing that, if you want to equip your plane with a better missile, you can modify those values, slightly. I have seen missiles that did not change the direction of flight 180º in less than 1 second. We are not looking for that in this challenge.
Regarding multiple rack pylons, I think that by introducing them, you should reduce the number of pylons in your plane. We try to make this challenge a showcase of good and beautiful airplanes, well balanced. If you add multiple rack pylons, it will mean that you will carry more weight, reducing the load capacity of the rest of the pylons.
@brians1209 max speed (mach 1.4) at high level. XML health allowed to make shields (Not abuse). XML modifications for weapons must be adjusted to reality (For example... AIM-9X speed with mach 6 it´s not correct) Similar response for maxheading, locktime, etc. The maximum number of hardpoints (pylons) will be 11 for category 1 (in rules described). For the weapons you can change weight xml, in order to get works correct (case of missiles).

@Pienas The information on the map describes how to avoid civilian casualties. Buildings on the map can be destroyed. However, you only have to demolish the buildings where the terrorists are without demolishing the houses of civilians.

@ThomasRoderick Unfortunately helicopter / airplane hybrids are not allowed. We are looking for airplanes. If it comes to firepower, I recommend making a category 2 plane, in order to be able to fly over the target and fire with the cannons. 4 missile hardpoints can also be installed.
