Dear friends, I am very sorry to have left SP. Right now I have to attend studies. I hardly have time to relax. I really like SP and I think at some point I will return. Meanwhile, I observe your planes. I'm watching the creations and mods improve, making SP look better every day. I hope and wish that SP incorporates by default the advancements and graphical improvements that many modders are developing. The day that the developers of SP are able to introduce textures and the possibility of including decals, paint schemes, to improve the appearance, it will be the final leap in quality that it lacks. This will also reduce the time it takes to prepare a plane with a good level of detail and I am sure that in that case I will be hooked on SP again. Be that as it may, I keep watching and the day I least expect I'll be with you again. I hope and wish you are well. Enjoy and perfect your planes. I love to see them all. A hug to all.
I just tested the mod and created a small plane. My general assessment is very good. I have been defending this idea for a long time, it reduces the number of parts of the plane and gives it a better style and design. The concept is perfect. I think this mod will be used so that future versions of SP will take it into account. Unfortunately it is difficult to create the airplanes with the mod, but it shows that it is not impossible to introduce the textures in the fuselages of the game. I hope and wish add this characteristic to the vanilla version of Simple Planes. The game would be greatly enhanced. It would give you a big boost. I think @MOPCKOEDNISHE has done a great job, which is almost priceless. Congratulations! You have my full support on this!
@EternalDarkness i understand the rule, and accept. But would be great include new Paint options in the Game, in order to increase reality, and details... I think the airplanes could be more cool with more sofisticated paint options... For example apply emblems, bands, gradients, etc... I think its difficult but soon its Christmas 😉 thanks anyway!
@ChiChiWerx It has been compared at the same speed, although it cannot be seen in the DCS video clip. On the other hand it is an approximation, it is not intended to do exactly the same. If it is observed the turn are similar, it seems a fact.
I know it's hard to cover everything we ask for. But I will give some ideas ...
1) I would like have paint tools, to add insignias, to create camouflage and to reduce the number of parts that involve details in aircraft.
2) Update the simpleplanes modtools to create aerial patrols, aerial routes/paths. That way we could create very fun aerial combat missions.
3) Multiplayer
4) Add new parts, for example refueling probe in flight, new weapons, glass for the cabins, the possibility of designing the cabin, instrumentation ... (much of this, is in the mods, but it would be great if the game had it default)
5) That in Unity we can add our planes, ships and land vehicles in a simple way, so that performance is not compromised.
whatever it is I think that simpleplanes is an incredible game. I hope the surprise of the update to version 1.8.
@GuyFolk I want a simple style HUD, by this reason choose this HUD. In a 50s plane a simple HUD looks better than a complex. The airbrake activate at specific g-force to let better maneuverability. At Less speed more maneuverability and pilots capability to support the g-force. In the other hand, reduce structural fatigue. In relation to horizontal stabilizer, there are two actuators. One of them, control trim, roll, pitch. The other control landing angle to make it easy. If you click it became floppy because the values of rotator are very low, are fine adjustments. This plane has been carefully worked to try to offer a pleasant and immersive flight experience for VR. I hope enjoy it 😉
@ThomasRoderick you can make a fictional or replica aircraft. What is sought is that it works approximately to the physical laws. I emphasize the word "approximate"
@Altmztrn Yes, in this edition, helicopters are not allowed, the map is very large and with the helicopter it would take a long time to reach the objective.
@TheSavageManZ Thank you very much! Making these mods takes me a long time. Think that each building I have designed with sketchup, there is a lot of trial and error ... But it is worth it if the SimplePlanes community enjoys them. I think I can make some railroad tracks. I will try it
@JohnnyBoythePilot The 12 hard-point rule is made not to overload the plane too much. Keep in mind that we try to be similar to reality. An airplane usually has a load limit. If you load more weapons than the plane should have then you will lose realism and that translates into fewer points. 12 or 14 hard-points is more than enough. Subpilons are also considered hard point. In relation to the second question, there is no problem in using pre-designed weapons. But remember that realistic behavior of weapons is valued.
