The only thing you can make crash into this post is your iPad. ;-) @Thegoldenwarrior750
No worries, @mikoyanster. Its gonna be worth the wait.
We will leave our fleet behind,
we will pass through the American patrols,
past their sonar nets,
and lay off their largest city,
and listen to their rock and roll...
while we conduct missile drills.
Then, and when we are finished,
the only sound they will hear is our laughter,
while we sail to Havana,
where the sun is warm,
and so is the comradeship.
A great day, comrades!
@Chancey21 No, of course not. It's actually March 32nd. The internet calendar got it wrong again. ;-)
Congrats! on being featured, Falken!
The detailing is Great!
Los Britanicos se van a nojar. 😂
Capt. Vasili Borodin: Torpedo impact, 5 seconds.
[the torpedo slams into the bow of Red October and breaks up on impact]
Commander Bart Mancuso: I'll be damned!
Jack Ryan: What happened?
Commander Bart Mancuso: Combat tactics, Mr. Ryan. By turning into the path of the torpedo, the Captain closed the distance before it could arm itself.
Jack Ryan: So that's it?
Captain Ramius: Not quite. Right now Tupolev is removing the safety features on all his weapons. He won't make the same mistake twice.
Here's an Unlisted version of this post with Variable Pylons: CLICK HERE
FYI, With variable wings, it's good practice to attach wing pylons to rotators that pivot as the wings sweep back and forth. That way the weapons remain parallel with the fuselage as the wings change angle. ;-)
@LusKa can be anything that instills fear in the peoples enemies. If it doesn’t, then it’s straight to the Gulag with you. Lol ;-)
Thanks! @Evenstsrike333 Send me a link ;-)
@Thelegitpilot13 is correct. The supports and rotors are shrunk to 0.005% using Fine Tuner. @Diloph @Armyguy1534
Chicago Air & Water Show 😄🤩@asteroidbook345
@small1324 Real life Spitfires do, SP Spitfires don't.
@Destroyer5713 I found a VA-52 version Does this match the color scheme you're looking for?
Congratualtions! @FairFireFight , @mikoyanster , @Sgtk
Your posts were fantastic.
You Rock! @PhilipTarpley
@PhilipTarpley I sent a bug report. When I opened "Build and Fly" the plane on the platform looked like a bloated corpse. All the parts had expanded to the max. When opening a 2nd plane, the 1st remained.
I forced quit SP, killed all mods (ie Overload) , removed editor.xml, and opened a plane built in 1.7 and it opened fine. When opening a plane built under 1.8+ same error occurred. It was pretty scary.
@Zott FYI, the Red Tails were the colors of the Tuskegee Airmen, the all-black American fighter escorts that defended U.S. Bombers from enemy air attacks. HBO made a movie about them 20 about years ago, it was excellent.
Great Work! Would you mind if I modify this post?
I love this challenge. There are so many great biplanes being posted.
It takes-off and flies really well. The gauges are clean and the smoke trail is a nice touch. My only problem ocurred during landing, the brake torque was too high causing a flip into the propeller. Other than that, it's a perfect biplane.
Nicely done! I still have not succeeded, The leader shoots me down when I get to the 3rd plane,@getorge
Special Thanks to @2hh8899 for the original concept
@Sqwuilex I think you mean "ball-AWESOME-ish" ;-)
Thanks @Strikefighter04! One of the problems with low scale is limited detailing. Things like decals, lettering and stuff like that is very difficult at smaller scales. The biggest problem, however, are pieces under 0.25 that are near the centerline. A lot of times when mirroring these parts get duplicated over and over again. So you could have a plane with say 200 parts, mirror it A few times, and boom, now the plane is 1200 little parts occupying the same position. I don’t know why the program does that.
@Texasfam04 Thanks for the vote of confidence, but you know darn well "Slate Fate" is the toughest plane in this competition. ;-)
With some modification, this would be a perfect addition to my MOAB Challenge !
Not that you need it, but I also have Starter Kit for anyone not used to large builds on SP.
You've got skills! I hope you consider joining the Challenge. :-)
