FOR REAL THOUGH, SPBC IS WAY MORE HELPFUL THAN THE FORUMS WHEN IT COMES TO GETTING HELP WITH YOUR PROJECTS. SURE, I GET TIRED OF ALL THE ANIME. BUT THERE'S PLENTY OF NICE PEOPLE AND THE MODERATORS BAN THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF ANYONE THAT ACTS LIKE A JERK, BUT THEY'RE NOT SUPER STRICT EITHER. IT'S A GOOD PLACE TO POST PICS AND LINKS TO STUFF YOU'RE WORKING ON TO GET FEEDBACK AND IMPROVE YOUR SKILLS. ALSO, BLUE BULL POSTS SOME PRETTY DECENT MUSIC ON THERE SOMETIMES.
9/10 would recommend to friends (I subtracted one point for all the anime)
Have you considered using an analog rotator and piston system for this? 457 is a lot of parts, and having a single light moving around with a black background and a couple circles to mark distance would probably use fewer than 20 parts.
No disrespect, this is a staggering amount of effort and the result looks awesome.
SPBC is an extremely helpful discord server where you can ask questions, find advice and get to know other builders.
Most of the people who call it "toxic" are in fact trolls that have been banned for being obnoxious, which is another great reason to join if you really think about it.
That guy posted as a joke. Funny jokes will get upvotes, but they won't teach you how to build better stuff. This game is littered with gold and platinum users that absolutely suck at building. They posted a few lucky memes and got some attention, but now they run around crying about how no one upvotes their stuff anymore because they never bothered to learn anything.
Don't worry about it. Just focus on learning how to build the stuff you want to play with. Make the truck/plane/boat/cheeseburger/etc. that you can enjoy playing with.
@Strikefighter04 The Nazis relied heavily on French industry during WW2, but were often disappointed. Citroen trucks were particularly notorious for their terrible reliability. What the Germans never realized was that the trucks were fine if they had the proper amount of engine oil, the factory workers had merely sabotaged them by shortening all the oil dipsticks.
My guess is that it's a near certainty, but only because you haven't defined the specs of the hardware involved. There are some mighty slow PC's out there and some mighty powerful mobile hardware. At what point the two intersect is a matter of research and debate.
Your attempts at getting attention are already beginning to backfire. I recommend you reevaluate your situation before you are heaped with more social setbacks. I understand you need an outlet for your feeling and that you've lost some friends but you will have to be patient, perhaps you can join additional social networks that may be more suitable to your needs.
Left your F-22 out in the rain and it got all soggy, huh? You'd better hang that thing up in the furnace room and hope it gets dry before mom comes home or she's gonna be pissed.
I like how the point system gets new players interested in the game, but I really hate this constant scheming. Just build what you like. If you really want points, then learn how to build great stuff. But enough with the shortcuts, seriously.
It's music, an artform. It's not a contest. It's not professional sports! I can play you a death metal album so complicated that only a few living people on Earth could ever perform it live, but I guarantee you won't enjoy it as much as a Kinks song that only uses power chords. Trying to quantify music by its complexity completely removes it from its emotional impact, its social context, and utterly guts the fun from it. It's like eating a hamburger and complaining that the cook didn't pay close enough attention to the geometric arrangement of sesame seeds on the bun.
No wings, no machineguns, too many wheels in the landing gear, no discernable propeller, too many seats, not nearly enough horsepower. I am almost certain that the 8th Airforce would be out of luck if they were issued this aircraft to defend its bombers from the predation of the Luftwaffe.
The years between 15 and 21 are two edged. On the one hand, you are at the peak of your health: every physical thing you do is at its easiest, even wounds heal faster and you are somewhat resistant to damage. People you know are attractive and fun: because of school you are literally surrounded by people your own age, this may seem like no big deal but it is, never again will it be so easy to make friends and romantic partners. Life isn't hard yet: some teenagers have to pay bills, support their family and work full time jobs but chances are that you don't, life hasn't beat the crap out of you yet and there is much to look forward to in terms of ambition.
On the other hand you begin to see yourself as an adult despite having zero experience with the real world. You haven't yet realized that opinions (and your opinion in particular) are almost totally worthless. Many (most?) teenagers are extremely self absorbed, spending tremendous amounts of time cultivating a look or persona and very little time observing the cause and effect of other peoples lives. Worse yet, other people will assume you are selfish and shallow, even if that is not the case.
Every year has its challenges, the key is identifying opportunies and taking advantage of them.
A long time ago, on a computer that is now in a trash heap far, far away I decided to recreate the pyramid temple of Chichen Itza in Minecraft. It was glorious. 1:1 scale, intricate semi-precious stone inlays, interdimensional portal. Did I mention that I built it a hundred feet in the air and used lava to illuminate it? Glorious.
At least, it should've been. I didn't plan out my project very well. I only set aside enough raw materials to make the outside walls and the floating floor it sat on. Once the walls were complete, the whole interior was infested with mobs and I had an exponentially larger amount of stone to mine. At first I tried to fix things quickly by dumping layers of lava and then water, but that just made huge blobs of fire, water and stone scattered about. In the end I just gave up and the pyramid sat there in the sky, bright as a Las Vegas casino, dumping lava and water, laughing at me.
That's kind of how a lot of creations on here are. Cool ideas that get turned into gigantic flying messes that look pretty but are basically junk because people didn't think beyond the surface.
This is why I could never be a mod. I'd be like "You literally asked for this."
+22Wouldn't it be great if we tried to get attention by creating great builds instead of posting this trash?

+9You can tell it's communist because the guy in the back is pointing a gun at the guy doing all the work.
+9Usually the voices of youtubers make me want to smash my phone with a hammer. But this guy wasn't annoying.
+9I downloaded the highest rated tank, painted it blue, deleted all the connection points and re-uploaded it as "winter camo."
It fell apart into a pile of confetti the moment anyone tried to drive it.

Surprise, surprise.
