About the Redesigned Boom Overture

In 2003, the only SST left in operation, the Concorde, flew for the very last time, closing the doors to the age of supersonic travel.

As such, in the 2010s, several private companies each made their own supersonic transport concepts to try to bring these glory days back. Boom was one of them, with its Overture airliner and a supersonic demonstrator, the XB-1.

The Overture has already gone through several design iterations. In 2022, Boom released renders of its latest design.

This is a complete redesign of the aircraft; it looks absolutely nothing like the more traditional delta-wing designs that the previous versions of the Overture had.
