When I think of a "plane" the image of the B-17 instantly comes to mind. This quite possibly is my favorite airplane of all time. Just can't enough of those classic 1930s lines. The B-17 was one of the most important bombers of WW2. It wasn't the fastest, highest flying or heaviest in terms of bomb load but it it was tough. The B-17 dropped more ordinance than any other U.S. Bomber in WW2.
I've held off building the B-17 until I felt I could do it justice. I'm happy with this B-17G of the 8th Army Air Force. That said. I did leave some detail out like insignia and turret frames in order to keep it mobile friendly.
Instructions:
VTOL Up: Retract landing gear
Group 1: Unlock turret rotation
Takeoff: 100% Power. Rotates at 190mph
Landing: Slow gentle decent is required with a very smooth approach. She's very heavy. 45% power. Don't slam her down. She will explode.
So here she is. Tell me what you think.

2.4 years agoWhen i fly the plane in to land at 45%-50% power the engines explode when I am in-flight and very slowly descending which is kind of annoying but besides that it looks great and flies decently.
